A Beautiful Deep Dive Into Our Worldwide Arts + Culture

Art Report Today, the largest and most comprehensive international arts and culture news platform, began publishing daily on 1 April 2019, featuring over 150 articles, images and videos. A newsletter serves 21K each week.

The platform was conceived when Gordy Grundy, a Los Angeles based artist and arts columnist with a day job as an entertainment marketing and promotion project manager, was tasked with a study of the international arts media, commissioned by a Los Angeles publisher who was suffering from a downturn in the media market.

The resulting epiphany was clear, “The art world does not need another glossy magazine, but a comprehensive news site to serve as a go-to, one stop resource.” The Art Report Today site advocates for the arts and provides an inspiration to the creative.

Simply, the site is modeled on the Drudge Report, the greatest success story in modern day publishing.

Art Report Today is primarily an aggregated site, presenting breaking news stories from around the world. Established resources such as the New Yorker, Artforum, the Los Angeles Times and The Art Newspaper are proudly featured alongside small regional magazines such as Artillery in Los Angeles, Burnaway in the South and Glasstire in Texas, as well as a myriad of blogs and podcasts like Less Art, LACMA On Fire, Old News and Real Art Detroit.

Art Report Today is a busy content creator, producing columnists, cutting edge articles, video and investigative Special Reports. The platform has an active presence on Instagram and YouTube. Our vertical presence is limitless.

With over 20 years in film entertainment marketing and promotion for the Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Fox, Sony and more, GORDY GRUNDY will apply those same skills and experiences to Art Report Today goals.

Grundy is a publisher, producer, contemporary artist and first-read arts writer. As a project manager, he is most proud of his excellent 100 percent track record with the highly discerning Disney.

Always engaged, he has served as President with the Barnsdall Art Center (5 years) and the Jonathan Art Foundation (3 years). He is a founding board member of the Downtown LA Neighborhood Arts Council and the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation. His volunteer efforts continue.

As an arts writer and columnist, he has written for ArtNews, Huffington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the LA Weekly, Artillery magazine, Coagula Art Journal and many others. He is author of the books Artist’s Pants, Blood and Paint: Essays on Art in Los Angeles, Waimea Uprising and BURN, A Life In The Arts, Volume I.

Grundy has published art books and produced nightclubs, much theater, art openings, lectures, events and seminars. His track record as a Project Manager is flawless.
