THE LAS VEGAS ARTIST WILL MAKE IT LOOK EASY

To move the Las Vegas arts rook ahead on the art world game board, we need international press attention. This impossibility cannot belie the simple truth that it will be a key to our future success. Let's take it on.

Start thinking like a publicist. Outside your bubble. "What makes us special?" What will be interesting to an outsider and a news editor? Think fun. Quirky Vegas.

I am looking at various topics that we can exploit and advance. Help us define and expand on a few ideas. We must present ourselves wisely. Our contemporary art world has a long media history of happening, pranks and reveals. Let's look to the past for answers.

a) An Art Action: Las Vegas badly needs a demonym, an easy term to use and pronounce. Las Vegan or Las Vegasan are lame. Let us consult the finest minds in Vegas, present our recommendations, and then establish the new demonym into our Pop Culture. Thoughts? Click Here to email.

b) The historic lore, love and appeal of Death Valley is well-established. Las Vegas has always been the way-station to that adventure. The Germans and Northern Europeans are especially obsessed... There is something here that we can use. How can that relate to the Las Vegas arts? Click here to email.

c) Start thinking.
